National League Trust TournamentDover Athletic Community Trust 6 a side competition Dover Athletic Community Trust’s leg of the National League U11 cup went ahead despite the awful weather conditions this week thanks to a generous offer from the new Dover Leisure Centre to host the event. The constant rain had made a mess of the community pitches at Crabble, but the Leisure Centre stepped in to save the day – and the tournament for over 100 children from 9 different schools from across the district. The schools represented were Sandwich Juniors, Temple Ewell, White Cliffs, Vale View, Aycliffe, River, Whitfield, Lydden and Cartwright and Kelsey. |
3 Programmes to Launch Before ChristmasDover Athletic Community Trust is to launch 3 new programmes beofre Christmas. The first is an intitative in partnership with DDC and Street Games UK, offering free football sessions for girls and boys aged 13-18. It will run on Sundays in Northbourne Park, Tower Hamlets from 12-1.30pm. The sessions will be run by qualified coaches and will be turn up and play sessions. |

DAFC Support Prostate Cancer UK WalkDover fans are being asked to support Kevin Webber’s magnificent walk this week. Webber, ambassador for Prostate Cancer UK, will be arriving at Crabble on Friday at 5pm after walking from Bromley Football Club to our home ground as part of the launch of the MANarama campaign. |
Champions Are Welcomed to CrabbleDover Athletic U13s league winners from last season were given a warm welcome to Crabble on Saturday by the Dover Athletic Community Trust. The boys won every league game last season on their way to the league title and were warmly welcomed at Crabble to parade their league Trophy in front of the Dover fans at half time. |

Community Trust Girls Achieve Coaching BadgesTwo young women from Dover Athletic Community Trust senior girls football group have achieved their Level 1 FA coaching badges. Abbie and Lucy are part of a group that train at Crabble every Saturday from 10am-11am. They have both shown an interest in completing their coaching qualifications, and thanks to a grant from the National League Trust, they have now taken the first step on their coaching pathway. |

The Trust Held Its Second Charity Golf DayThe event was very well supported this year with 21 businesses entering teams and a variety of golfing skills were on display. The format was a Stableford Betterball and in addition to team and individual scores players also competed for two nearest the pins and two longest drives.It was an early start for our golfers, and with heavy rain the day before we were promised good weather by the club general manager as he briefed all of the rules of play! Only for us all to tee off at 8.30 and the heavens to open on us heavily for 3 holes. The weather then started to be kind to us with only the occasional drizzle and a fair amount of sun. |
Boys and Mens Health Programme Starts July 3rdThis a boys and mens mental health project to support those with mental health related needs. This will be run in conjunction with a Headstart worker in an initial 12 week project. It could be anxiety, confusion, depression, stress, or a feeling that you can't quite get your head around but you know you'd like to talk to someone to help you understand more. |

Wildcats & Womens Football Starts Sat 4th MayDover Athletic Community Trust have been successful in securing funding from the National League Trust and the FA to offer football activities for women and girls aged from 5 upwards.The National League Trust have offered funding to subsidise a programme for girls aged 12-16 as well as women's walking football. The FA have granted permission for the Trust to run an SSE Wildcats Centre for girls aged 5-11 as part of a National initiative to get more girls playing the game. |
Dover Athletic Under 13s Go to CrabbleDover Athletic U13s were invited to Crabble on Saturday as winners of the Kent Youth League East Division. The boys still have a 100% record in the league with only 1 game of the season remaining. The boys met up with their first team counterparts before their draw with Chesterfield, and were shown all areas of the Crabble ground with members of the Dover Athletic Community Trust. |

Easter Happy Feet School Now OpenWe are running an Easter Soccer School and you can now apply to join in.This will run on Monday 8th, Tuesday 9th, Monday 15th and Tuesday 16th April - full details are in the dowloadable forms below.Application forms can be downloaded, completed and returned along with the payment to the football club office, in person. Please DO NOT send cash in the post. Alternatively, they can be submitted with payment to one of our community staff at the Saturday morning Happy Feet football sessions. |

2019 Charity Golf Day AnnouncedThis years charity golf day in aid of Dover Athletic Community Trust will be held on Thursday 13th June 2019. We are hopeful for great weather again at Canterbury Golf Club where we hope to see many returning players and many new to join them. The day will start with registration at 7.00am, welcomed by a nice bacon butty, tea and coffee. We'll aim to start play by 8.30am where we'll follow a Stableford format on a shotgun start. |
Dover Striker Jamie Allen Visits Whitfield U7s.Whitfield Juniors Under 7s got a fantastic surprise as Dover Athletic's Jamie Allen dropped into their training session on Tuesday night. Pat Sutcliffe, (Community Development Officer for the Dover Athletic Community Trust) ran a fun training session, and centre forward Allen popped along to help out. He entertained the youngsters by showing them some skills, before joining in with games and finally handing out the player of the session award. |

DACT Attended the Official Opening of DOVER DISTRICT LEISURE CENTREDover Athletic Community Trust were delighted to attend the official opening of the DOVER DISTRICT LEISURE CENTRE on Monday 4th March. The centre has been open to the public for a week now and it is very clear this fantastic sporting environment is going to have a significant positive impact on the Dover Community. |

Temple Ewell Represents DAFC in Regional Finals at Sutton UtdTemple Ewell school represented Dover Athletic Football Club at the National League Trust Southern regional tournament at Sutton Utd FC on Thursday 14th February. On a glorious day the boys had to play against sides from Bromley, Hampton and Richmond, Welling and Slough. The team, made up of 4 year 6s, 3 year 5s and a year 4 competed in a year 6 competition and more than held their own. They were handed a tough first game against a very talented Welling side, and managed to come away with a 0-0 draw. They lost the next game 2-0 to a strong Bromley team, before unluckily losing 1-0 to Slough in a game where they were on top for most of it. Finally they drew 1-1 with Hampton and Richmond levelling with an absolute screamer from Owen. |

Under 11s 6-A-Side Final at CrabbleWell done to Temple Ewell, our 2018/19 Under 11s 6-A-Side winners The final was again blessed with good weather and the match was played out between Whitfield Primary School & Temple Ewell Primary School. The boys played two twelve minute halves in front of a decent sized crowd of supporting parents and friends of all the children involved. And by the end an increasing audience of Dover Athletic players and management team also looked on. |
